Specialist Sport
Ballarat High School runs a Specialist Sports program which includes rowing, athletics, golf, netball, basketball and football.
This program caters for students who have been identified as ‘talented’ young men and women, with both the potential and application to be successful at an elite level.
The School offers these students an opportunity to continue their education while at the same time, receiving specialist coaching in their chosen sport. There is an expectation that the Specialist Sport students will act as positive role- models for other students.
Specialist sport has now been extended to include opportunities for students to become involved in this program from year 7. The program includes a range of specialist parent evenings and a focus on developing all the talents and abilities of our students.
