Ballarat High School is a place of opportunity, excellence and connection, and this is largely due to the unwavering commitment of our school community, including our School Council.

While our School Council, made up of parents and community members, has the following critical roles, their collective enthusiasm and efforts also enhance our school’s effectiveness, reputation and position in the broader community.

Critical School Council roles include:

  • Developing our Strategic Plan
  • Approving our Annual Budget
  • Setting and reviewing policies

Additional roles include:

  • School maintenance
  • Sub-contracting
  • Fundraising
  • Developing, reviewing and monitoring our Student Engagement Policy and Student Uniform Policy
