Respectful Relationships

Respectful Relationships is an initiative to support schools to promote and model respect and equality. It also supports educators to teach our children how to build healthy relationships, resilience and confidence. Ballarat High School was selected as a Leading School, guiding local partner schools (primary and secondary) to implement a whole school approach.

Students from Years 7-9 learn about Respectful Relationships as part of our Health, Physical Education and Learning & Wellbeing curriculum.

At Years 10-12 we deliver part of the program through a series of special days and sessions using learning materials that are designed to develop student’s social and emotional capabilities, build healthy and respectful relationships, support decision making and create positive gender relations. We also use Learning & Wellbeing time.
